Dr. Fay Cobb Payton is the founding director MyHealthImpactNetwork.org, a social network experience that focuses on health disparities and social media technology interventions. @MyHealthImpact provides “voice” for the millennial generation about health topics, such as sexual and mental health, and technology innovation. She is the author of Leveraging Intersectionality: Seeing and Not Seeing, an anthology of her research on STEM education and experience in both academe and corporate environments. She is an editor for Health Systems, an OR Society journal, and is a Full Professor of Information Systems/Technology at North Carolina State University. She received the 2013 National Coalition of Women in Information Technology (NCWIT) Undergraduate Mentoring Award. As an American Council on Education Fellow, she worked on issues of academic review, interdisciplinary graduate research and education, and institutional economic and community impact.
