Dr. Andrea E Johnson is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Spelman College. Dr. Johnson conducts research in Human Computer Computing and user experience design (UX), specifically, focusing on understanding how new emerging technologies affect the lives and behaviors of people. Dr. Johnson works to collaboratively design, implement and evaluate innovative solutions to address societal problems and redesign solutions. My research integrates people, technology, information, and culture.
Dr. Johnson’s educational background includes a BS in Computer and Information Sciences from Spelman College, a MS in Computer Science and Software Engineering from Auburn University and a Doctorate in Human-Centered Computing from Clemson University. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with my family and volunteering. She is passionate about STEM outreach activities always trying to expose students to STEM opportunities and mentor them as they embrace new computing challenges.
