Dr. Urban Wiggins is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Dr. Wiggins has been published in several peer-reviewed journals such as IEEE Symposium on New Frontiers on Dynamic Spectrum Access Networks, and has presented at numerous conferences, symposiums, and forums spanning such diverse topics as Institutional Research, Data Analytics, Cyber Security in Education, and Next-Generation Wireless Communications. Dr. Wiggins is a member of the Nomination Committee of the Southern Association for Institutional Research (SAIR) and is also the immediate past-president, after serving two consecutive terms, of the Traditional Black Colleges and Universities non-profit organization, a special interest group of the Association for Institutional Research (AIR). Dr. Wiggins obtained his doctoral degree in Computer Science from Louisiana State University marking him as the 1st African American male to accomplish this endeavor. His research areas, where he is also published, are in Cognitive Radio, Cognitive Radio Networks, Wireless Sensors, and Wireless Sensor Networks.
