Imani is a fourth-year Ph.D. student at the University of Florida in the Human-Centered Computing program. She received a Master of Science in Computer Science from Kentucky State University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Dayton. Her research interests include usable security and privacy, accessibility, STEM Education and technology policy. She is currently involved in projects related to voting experiences, mobile application accessibility and culturally responsive computing in the Human Experience Research Lab at UF. She is also involved in projects related to robocalls and mobile application privacy in the Florida Institute of Cybersecurity Research Lab at UF. Although she works on a myriad of topics, she remains focused on investigating and improving the modern technology experiences of underrepresented groups, so that all people can begin to have secure, private and self-directed interactions with various technologies.
